Put bookable experiences
right in the inbox.
Email widgets embed real Viator experiences — with images, live pricing, ratings, and a Book Now button — directly into your campaigns. Paste once. Convert everywhere.
More than a link.
A full booking experience.
Widgets are short snippets of code that let you visually showcase Viator experiences — and direct links to book them — right where your audience already is: your website or your email campaigns.
Unlike a plain text link, widgets put real experiences in front of your audience with images, pricing, ratings, and a Book Now button. They're flexible enough to work for any destination, activity category, or travel style — and they take just minutes to set up.
Email widgets are specifically optimized for deployment inside HTML email campaigns, with a static, mail-client-friendly format that renders reliably across ESPs and devices.
Built for bookings.
Designed to be easy.
Email widgets were designed with one goal: help your campaigns convert. You get a high-impact, low-maintenance tool that keeps working long after you hit Send.
Optimized for every device
Choose your email width at generation time to match your template. Widgets render cleanly on mobile, tablet, and desktop across all major mail clients.
Fast to deploy
From login to a ready-to-paste HTML snippet in under five minutes. No developer required — just copy, paste, and send.
No ongoing maintenance
Set up your widget once. As long as Viator has inventory for the destination or category you've configured, your widget stays populated with live content.
Any destination, any style
Widgets work for any destination, activity category, or travel style. Whether you're sending a city guide or a themed itinerary, there's a widget type for it.
Performance you can track
Click-throughs from email widgets flow through your standard Viator partner reporting dashboard, so you always know what's working.
Choose the format that fits
your campaign strategy.
All four widget types are available for email deployment. Pick the one that matches how your content is organized and who you're sending to.
Destination
Automatically surface relevant experiences for any location. Great for destination roundups, city guides, or regional travel sends.
Best for
"Top Things to Do in Lisbon" emails, destination newsletters
Category
Pull in experiences by activity type — food & wine, walking tours, private experiences, outdoor adventures, and more.
Best for
Themed campaigns organized around what travelers want to do
Curated
Handpick the exact experiences you want to highlight. Ideal when you know your audience and want full control over what appears.
Best for
Highly targeted sends, editor's picks, personal recommendations
Dynamic
Products populate automatically based on signals from your website — destination, experience type, dates, or language. Works in tandem with your email and web strategy.
Best for
Partners with a connected website presence and segmented lists
Two powerful channels.
One seamless experience.
Widgets are built to work wherever your audience is spending their time — on your site and in their inbox.
On Your Website
Embed widgets anywhere on your site to turn passive browsers into active bookers.
In Your Email Campaigns
Bring bookable experiences directly into your email content — where your most engaged audience already is.
From login to live
in five minutes.
Here's exactly how to create and deploy an email widget, start to finish.
Log in and navigate to Widget Creation
Go to Tools → Create Widget. Give your widget a name, then select your preferred language and currency.
Choose your widget type
Select from Destination, Category, Curated, or Dynamic. Destination is the simplest starting point for location-based sends; Curated gives you full editorial control.
Customize your layout
Configure the number of experiences to display, the layout format, and optional elements like free cancellation badges, star ratings, or Book Now button styling.
Generate your email HTML
Click Save and Generate Code. Select Email as your deployment type, choose your email width (typically 600px for desktop-optimized emails), then click Generate HTML.
Paste into your campaign
Copy the HTML snippet and drop it into your ESP's custom HTML block. Most major email platforms support this — look for an "HTML" or "Custom Code" block in your email editor.
Before you send
Always send a test email to yourself first. Confirm images load correctly, pricing displays as expected, and the Book Now button links through to the right Viator page.
Small choices that make
a big difference.
Four things that separate a widget that converts from one that gets ignored.
Lead with context, then the widget
A sentence or two of editorial framing — "Planning a trip to Lisbon? Here are the experiences our readers are booking right now" — primes subscribers to engage before they see the widget.
Match widget type to send cadence
Destination and Category widgets are great for regular newsletter sends. Curated widgets shine in highly targeted or segmented campaigns where you want to be specific about what appears.
Keep mobile in mind
Select an email width that matches your template's responsive breakpoints. A widget that renders beautifully at 600px on desktop should reflow cleanly on mobile — test on both before you send.
Use in post-booking sequences
If you send booking confirmation or trip countdown emails, a widget featuring experiences at the destination is a natural upsell. Subscribers are already engaged and thinking about their trip.
